It's Friggin Freezing

I'm running so much I can barely keep up on the posts!

Yesterday's Run: 2.57 mi: 22:12, 8.37/mi

Today's Run: 2.75 mi: 23:00, 8.21/mi

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm quite surprised my knees have held up as well as they have, but I think it's partially due to the fact I'm unable to feel them in this arctic weather.  I've never experienced as cold a run as I did today.  It registered at 15 degrees, but when the wind blew in my face, which seemed like always - it felt sub 0.  I had to knock icicles off my chin when I made it back into the house; only a slight exaggeration.

Today's run felt much better than yesterday's.  At about the half-way point I was pretty sure I would run my entire (sort of 3-mile) track.  I certainly had great incentive to finish today (not freeze to death); but a few detours due to ice and traffic caused me to reach the finish line about .2 miles short.  At that point there was no way I was going to make it 3 miles - cause that would have led me further away from the house.

So I ended up with my longest run yet (2.75 mi) along with my fastest pace (8.21).  So yeah!  Another huge improvement.  It's amazing how far I've come in just 2 weeks.  As well as things went today, I think it's time to search the web for a 5K :)
